V&VN is the professional association for nurses and care workers in the Netherlands. V&VN is committed to ensuring that nurses, care workers and nursing specialists can practise their profession to the highest standards and with pride. V&VN makes this possible through, amongst other things, training, professional development, quality standards and guidelines, the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and influencing national policy.

Gaining and sharing knowledge about dementia

For nurses and care workers, access to up-to-date knowledge on many aspects of care (and the evidence behind it) is of great importance. This is particularly true given the ageing population, the growing number of people with dementia and staff shortages in the care sector. V&VN is committed to acquiring knowledge in various ways and sharing it in all sorts of places and formats. This includes (among other things) practical knowledge, the results of scientific research and insights gained from peer review sessions. That is why V&VN is a coalition partner of DEMPACT.
