Alzheimer Nederland funds research into dementia. Alzheimer Nederland also provides support and advice at national and regional level, represents the interests of people with dementia and their loved ones, and works towards a dementia-friendly society.

BSL Media & Learning provides reliable specialist information for professionals in the Dutch healthcare sector, via digital and print media as well as conferences. Through its specialist publication *DementieVisie*, it reaches healthcare professionals who wish to improve dementia care.

Consortium BO
Consortium BO provides teaching materials, accredited examinations and training courses for professionals in vocational education, including healthcare and social care programmes.

GERION
Within Amsterdam UMC, GERION provides the training programme for specialists in geriatric medicine, as well as specialist training programmes such as that for dementia case managers. GERION also provides postgraduate training for healthcare professionals with degrees from universities or universities of applied sciences.

Kennisnetwerk D-ZEP
The Kennisnetwerk D-ZEP aims to optimise the quality of life for people with dementia and very severe challenging behaviour (D-ZEP). Among other things, the Kennisnetwerk aims to make all relevant knowledge, expertise and skills accessible to professionals and carers, to bring them together, and to help them apply this knowledge.

Knowledge Centre for Young Onset Dementia
The Knowledge Centre for Young Onset Dementia (KCYOD) is committed to providing high-quality care and support for young people with dementia (and their loved ones). The KCYOD is also involved in research and in translating knowledge into practical care information.

Landelijk Platform Odensehuizen
Odensehuizen provide support, share knowledge, challenge misconceptions about dementia, and help people with dementia to continue playing a meaningful role.

Nederlands Geheugenpoli Netwerk
The Nederlands Geheugenpoli Netwerk optimises care in Dutch memory clinics. It also enables memory clinic professionals to learn and share knowledge and experiences.

PRODEM

Alzheimer Centres in the Netherlands
There are five Alzheimer’s Centres in the Netherlands. These centres bring together research, treatment and support. They were established to promote high-quality scientific research into dementia and the practical application of the findings.
