Pharos

The Pharos Centre of Expertise helps to reduce significant health inequalities. To this end, Pharos supports professionals and organisations in providing appropriate care and support to, amongst others, older people with dementia and those from migrant backgrounds, as well as their carers. Pharos draws on knowledge from science, healthcare practice and the lived experiences of those directly affected. It shares this knowledge through research, advice, training courses, knowledge resources and practical publications.

Inclusive research and target group participation

Pharos addresses dementia from the perspectives of both care and support, as well as prevention. Pharos therefore contributes to the dementia consortia ABOARD, BIRD-NL, NDPI, SPREAD+ and YOD-INCLUDED, providing advice, research and knowledge products. In addition, Pharos also offers training and support to the researchers within these consortia on inclusive research, including stakeholder participation.

Pharos is one of the organisations that together form the DEMPACT consortium.
