Alzheimer’s blood test

October 22, 2027 | 12:00 – 13:00 | het Colloquium | De Boelelaan 1118, Amsterdam

In this edition of the Alzheimer Centre Amsterdam’s ‘Lunch & Learn’, Nina van Faals and Paula Vanneste will discuss the Alzheimer’s blood test.

An increasing number of so-called biomarkers are being identified for Alzheimer’s disease – substances in the body that may indicate the presence of Alzheimer’s. Previously, biomarkers for Alzheimer’s could only be measured in cerebrospinal fluid. We can now also measure biomarkers for this form of dementia in the blood. This is much more comfortable for patients and offers further practical advantages.

During this Lunch & Learn session, you will learn more about the blood test itself and about the research they are conducting into the application of this biomarker test in clinical practice.

The Lunch & Learn lecture series is open to anyone who wishes to stay informed about developments relating to dementia, including researchers, professionals, (carers of) people with dementia and other interested parties.
