Conference: A New Generation of Older People Living at Home for Longer (NGOLT)

In an age-friendly society, living well together is central. The new generation of older people not only want to live independently, but also to play a meaningful role in their local communities. Through consideration and mutual understanding, we can create an (age-)friendly society; together, we can ensure that older people feel connected.
During the NGOLT Conference, researchers, professionals, older people, volunteers and policymakers will share their experiences and lessons learnt regarding care for older people. This includes DEMPACT partners Movisie and Vilans.
Movisie will discuss co-creation in dementia research and collaboration with migrant communities to ensure inclusive care. It will also highlight the value and contributions of older people to our society. Vilans will explore how formal care networks and caring communities can reinforce one another, discuss the ‘Hulpmiddelenwijzer’ (Assistive Technology Guide) – which helps people find practical solutions in everyday life – and talk about social technology.
