Would you like to present your research on the mental health of older people to an international audience? Then this congress is for you.

The International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) organises the annual IPA Congress, which brings together multidisciplinary insights from around the world on the mental health of older people. The theme of the conference is ‘Promoting inclusive and supportive societies worldwide to improve the mental health of older people’.

The keynote speaker is Prof. Dr Anne-Margriet Pot, IPA President and Professor by Special Appointment of Supervision of Person-Centred and Integrated Long-Term Care (Erasmus School of Health Policy).

The programme also covers the following themes:

  • loneliness and (social) isolation amongst older people,
  • various treatments for Alzheimer’s disease,
  • research into dementia care and the use of AI and the Internet of Things,
  • neuromodulation to halt the progression of depression in older people.
